Not I. Stupid design. If I was going to built a lightsaber Ax, I'd go with a pair of emitters facing away from each other and curve the plasma field around in a circle. Better cutting area. Of course, You'd need to make the handle out of phrik, cortosis, or Mandalorian Iron (never understood why people don't make saber staffs out of Cortosis or Phrik).
Doesn't seem all that well thought-through does it? Looks very unwieldy.
And from a strict combat standpoint, the axe-weilder stands no chance against a light, fast blade...
It looks like a dental floss pick. That would require some serious force skills.
It is kind of cool.. might make one just for fun/conversation piece.

It may not look entirely practical, but actually doesn't look like it wouldn't be too hard to make. AND it you put a CREE in each "emitter" that blade would be pretty stinkin' bright and very evenly lit!
Kinda neat but I think it would need a Mandalorian Iron shield to go with it.
Would a lightsaber switchblade be redundant?
I saw this on facebook and it looks like a good way to get yourself killed by somebody with a sensible weapon.
ERUDITION
A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.
If anything for a replica build I'd try to go with the normal AX shape and maybe use an LED strip along the Edge to light it, this gives the beam that full coverage and it would really only be maybe an inch or so off the main body, just more surface area coverage.
