This is a fine looking saber. Hope you don't mind me saying, it looks like it could be a found relic
I've not seen that done with copper but the scales look awesome. Sorry you didn't make the final but that is still excellent work and that pommel looks really good especially lit like that
    Sweeeeet!

I really dig the pommel design and the engraving! This is definitely one of those sabers that will stick to memory due to simply how unique it is

I liked this saber. It had a lot of great things going for it. I especially like the lower grip sections with the scales.

Thanks for all the kind words on the copper work. I'd seen copper and brass accents on sabers in the past, but nothing like this. Kind of the reason I wanted to do this. Between the dremeling and filing of the scale shapes and then engraving 35 individual scales it took me about 7 hours. I messed up two emmitter shields before getting the third one right. I machined all the holes first in a solid tube and then cut the shield shape from the tube, but the first one I did I cut the shape backwards so none of my holes were in the right place. I still can't believe I did that. By the time I was done remachining the third shield I didn't even need to look at my drawing, lol.

"Peace is a lie. Perhaps the greatest of them all. Peace, or a lack of change equals Death. If the waters of a pool cease to move, and become stagnant, the waters poison themselves, and kill all who drink from it. Chaos, on the other hand, brings great change. Should the pool be over taken by a river, life springs anew.

This saber is absolutely gorgeous! I've been working on a similar design involving the sandworms of Arrakis. Beautiful shroudwork!
