    Got it. So based on that i should use the .47 ohm .5w resistor, right? that seems kinda small... is it because i'm only using one 3.7v battery?

    i just realized i never did mention what color rebel star i was planning on using, just assumed it was obvious due to the rebuild. it will be a Green Rebel Star [Green 161lm @ 700mA 3.4v - Run at 1000mA]

    Yes, the 3.7v battery is very close to the forward voltage of your LED (3.4v), so the value will be pretty small.
