ARKM! Yeah I do want the switch to only be on when pressed and turn off when pressed again. So I need more than just the resistor huh? Do you have links to these parts? I also wanted to ask here and see what size screw you would go with for the set screw for the blade? Does thread size matter? What do people normally get when they order an emitter and need a set screw for the blade?

Here's a link to the momentary to latching converter... http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Mo...-70v-P928.aspx . This will allow you to use a battery or batteries with a total voltage of 2.5 to 7 volts. For example, you could use one 3.7 volt rechargeable Li-ion battery or two 1.5 volt alkaline batteries wired in series.

You also need a resistor. I recommend the DynaOhm auto-adjusting variable resistor as it will work over a wide range of voltages. http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/20...stor-P847.aspx .

As for blade retention screws, the most common sizes used are 8-32 and 10-32. Both will work fine. I personally use 8-32 in all my builds. You can use flush mounted set screws for that hidden look (like on your saber-staff) or if you don't mind the screws protruding from the saber, you can use button head, cap head or thumb screws. It's basically a matter of personal preference. The important thing is to drill and tap the hole for the blade retention screw, in a place where it will work well and also look ok. Tim, the owner of TCSS, does offer that as a service for a fee if you are not comfortable doing that yourself. I hope that helps.

From Wikipedia: "Internet Explorer slows down GIFs if the framerate is 20 frames per second or higher and Microsoft reports that Google Chrome and Safari also slow down some GIF animations."

I'm not sure if you're frequently going to be removing you're blade in this thing but if you are, let me just say, thumb screws are VERY convenient compared to the flush set screws + wrench. I pretty much always use thumb screws now.
