Thread: Harness touchiness?

    Default Harness touchiness?

I have my NBv2 wired up to a harness and everything works BUT the harness has to be inserted JUST right for everything to work. The harness tines almost need to be diagonal where some tines are inserted farther than others for it to work. Do I need to solder the harness in for best results? Not sure why it is shorting out...

I would say yes. That harness is meant to be soldered in. You won't have any issues with it once you do that.

The header needs to be soldered in place. The part with the wiring on it does not. Double check that where the wires go into the plug that none are easily pulled out and have a loose connection.

also remember, once it is soldered in place, make sure none of the solder on the back side is touching. I had that happen to me and it was frustrating to figure out my noob mistake.
