I've got it all wired up and sounding lovely! I put different resistors on the crystal chamber, but I noticed that I must have gotten a fairly weak LED, because with no resistors it's much dimmer than I would like. Still, for my first crystal chamber, I feel proud of it!
Now all I need is a main body and it'll be ready to go!

If you tried the LED before using a resistor, you might have blown the LED.Originally Posted by CET

I started with two resistors in series and decreased with each test.
Finally finished!
This is the completion of my first attempted saber and it only took 6 months of reading, ordering parts, and figuring out 500 ways to NOT build a working lightsaber.
I named this piece Padawan's Humility for two reasons. First, being my first saber, Padawan seems like the only appropriate title. Second, I knew building and learning was going to humble me whether I liked it or not.
