New with all of this stuff. Wiring help.

I am planning my first building, trying to keep it simple for the sake of upgrades in the future.

I am planning a 2AA pack running to a latching switch and buckpuck then to my LED. Want to make sure this all works. Bad MS paint attached with planned diagram.

My question, assuming the above is correct, how would I go about using connectors/ male female leads so that I can make my wiring capable of being attached/detached for upgrades?
Second diagram contains what I would like/envision.
