Thread: Colored (Day?) blades.

    Default Colored (Day?) blades.

I've noticed that my saber barely glows at all in the daylight, so I thought these would be a cool option, my questions are...
    Do they need diffusion film?
If so, should the film be colored?
Do you guys have colored blade tips?
How do the green ones look when they glow?
Are they just as sturdy as regular blades?
    Thanks in advance!
Enemies are not accidental or unfortunate. We make them, we earn them, and we nurture them, whether we realize it or not. If we can't find real enemies, we'll invent them and make them as big as we can. They become out justification for living, or excuses for our own failings. Many of us would suffer if we didn't have them- who would need Jedi if there were no Dark Force users?

There are some trans-red/green/blue thick walled blades in the store. Are these what you're asking about?

    1. Diffusion film is optional.
    2. Clear film will work fine.
    3. I haven't seen any in the store, though you could try to dye the clear/white ones.
    4. Green I imagine. I haven't tried any out personally, so I don't know how they compare to standard blades.
    5. Absolutely. They're thick walled polycarbonate. They'll take a beating.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Thank you! I was wondering if they would be just as bright, or a more lime-ish green, right now at full charge mine looks kinda mint green.

There is transparent paint made specifically for hard plastics, you could use that. Some people use permanent marker, some use nail polish. Basically use whatever you can find.
    ERUDITION

A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.

Thank you - i will try one of those for the green tip. the blue tip worked perfect with a fit dye and acetone dip.
