Default Soldering small LEDs directly to CF accent LED pads for PLI

Hey all. Wondering who has experience with soldering tiny LEDs directly to the Crystal Focus (I have v7.5) board accent LED pads to be used as a PLI. I have seen a few builds where this has been done, and was wondering what the best way of going about this would be. It seems like people are putting them right where the gap for bridging pads is, in a nice straight line. It doesn't look like there would be any kind of feasible way to add resistors, so I assume people are using LEDs with precisely the same FV as the pads. I couldn't find the info in the manual, so I would love some insight. Thanks!!

The pads are 3.3v, 18mA. You're going to want to match up the LEDs pretty close to those values.

If you don't have any experience with SMD soldering, I'd *highly* recommend practicing on some scrap components first. It's not as easy as it looks (and it looks even harder when you have the parts in front of you)
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
