Thread: Question about swapping Ledengin diodes in 10W assemblies

Default Question about swapping Ledengin diodes in 10W assemblies

Is there anyone out there who can swap diodes between 10W LedEngin assemblies? As I'm sure you know, unlike Luxeon, LedEngin only offers specific combinations of diodes. There's a combo I'd really like to try, but I would need someone who can swap diodes between predefined 10W assemblies and mount them on standard stars. Can anyone on here do that?

The 10W LEDEngins I've worked with have all four dice under a single dome. It's not really feasible to swap the individual dice around.

You can get custom Tri-Crees from TCSS now. They'll be just as bright (if not brighter) and use less power. LEDEngins are notoriously power-hungry.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
