Default A few questions and final check

EDIT - See below for update!

    ----------

    Hey guys, I've read over a lot of the tutorials and video's and am fairly sure I'll be able to do this;
I live in Australia though, so am wanting to make sure I have everything ready to go!

Here are the saber components and design:

I'll be using the saber for trooping (stunt ~ no sound/FOC/Aux etc) and want it to be AA or AAA powered.
I have plenty of soldering experience and live fairly close to a 'hackerspace' which I will make use of if needed.

I still have a few questions regarding the electronics however.
I want a Cyan LED ~ is there a cyan LED somewhere in TCSS? I wasn't able to find any, so I assume I have to use a custom tri-cree/rebel LED?

If this is the case, most of the tutorials I've seen show 2/3 of the LED's as 'standard' and the 3rd LED as a 'flash on clash/auxiliary' LED. Can I simply use all 3 LED's at once?
If so, is there a guide to what resisters I'll need and how to wire them in this situation?

Finally, are there any other parts I'll need that I've missed?
    Thanks a bunch!

The single-die Rebel comes in Cyan, though I think the store is out of stock right now. You can make cyan by blending green and blue with a multi-die LED. Either the Tri-Cree or the Tri-Rebel will do the job.

You can certainly use all three dice of the Tri-star LEDs at the same time. It'll use more power, and you'll be blending all the colors together at the same time, so be mindful of your color combination.

I really don't recommend standard alkalines for a multi-die setup. If that's all you have available to you, then use AA sized if possible. Go with li-ion batteries if you can. You'll get a better runtime, a smoother discharge rate, and you'll save a ton of $$$ in the long run.

For resistors, see this thread: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com...e-to-Ohm-s-Law
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Just a reminder, the choke piece that you connects with the ribbed section, has a wider OD than the ID of the shroud material. You may want to ask Tim to lathe down that piece, if you want it to sit flush with the rest of the hilt.

    Thanks for the help guys!
I've changed it to make it a little easier for me (and cheaper) ordered most of the parts I need (waiting on a few other pieces to come back into stock and Tim will send it all together for me).

Let me know what you guys think!
