Default Starting a MHSv2 build *finished* pics on page 1

After a small delay in getting a single part for completion here is my first v2 build. I have a theme for them. Its 'balance' as I set out to make a pair of sabers that are compact and feel great to weild. Also the theme of 'balance' I carried on to the emmiter shield. I put an etching that I made to resemble a ying and yang symbol like the force balancing light and dark. Each saber has a name one is Oron (light) the other Kerrin (dark). When they are joined they are just called 'Balance'.

Each saber uses prizms, all mhsv2 parts that I machined myself, tri-crees RGrB, custom machined coupler. light weathering

So Now that I've had some V1 sabers under my belt I decided to attack some v2 goodness. Just started but I'm using all v2 parts and going to use prizms in these. I just have basic shapes machined out. I'll keep updates coming along!

Nice design. What was put on the emitter? The top part with the grooves. Or did you custom make that yourself?

Thats just the standard v2 emitter style #1. i just lathed some grooves in it and put a bevel on the tip and reduced the diameter a mil half way down for some etching

I did a little work with switches today. milled switch holes and made the chassis for ball tactiles (with some helpful hints from one of the madcow videos). Really satisfied with how it came out and love the tactiles, I had never used them before. I'm planning on making this saber a lot cleaner and more duelable than previous sabers . coming along nicely. some progress pics.
