Some Info Needed For Conversion

So I decided to convert my OLD Anakin 2005 ROTS fx lightsaber and needed some info first. First the stock battery pack has some white crusty stuff in it but its safe for now, the blade is loose somewhat now. If I use a new TCSS 4 AA battery pack can I just double end foam tape the stock speaker and soundboard onto the new pack and go from there? Thanks. Also what would be the best blue to use, regular or royal blue? And usual blade length? Thanks for any help on this one =]

If you use 4 AA batteries it will fry your board unless you use a voltage regulator which is a pain. The white crusty stuff is corrosion which you can clean off, look online for tutorials. I would use regular blue.
