New to sound- saber upgrade

I am looking to add sound, easy enough given the forum is a wealth of knowledge.
BUT... I don't want the clashing or blaster deflection. I really only want the start up, Hum, and shut down of the blade.

would this just be something I take out of the sound font?
Would I need a different board?
could a different (cheaper) board be used?

Hmm that would be kind of strange to do. You could go with the nano, it had the swings, clashes, ignition, retraction, and a hum. I guess you could remove the swings from that.

You could use the Nano (or any of the Plecter boards) and turn the sensitivity all the way down. You wouldn't even need to alter the font at that point.
