    Default 12mm switch hole issues

I am having issues finding a 12mm drill bit. I was wondering if I should use a 1/2" bit since 12mm is like .472 inches. Or should I go with a smaller bit and gind out the hole to fit the switch? I have searched for days now and I just cant find a bit that I can buy with out having to order one and wait for it to come.

Always start small. You can enlarge a hole, but you can't shrink it.

A 15/32" bit would likely do the job, with a little work.

Edit: If you're going to thread the hole with a tap, then you'll want an 11mm bit to make the hole. If you're not tapping the hole, just use what I recommended above and file/dremel as necessary.

We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
