Question First DIY Saber - Discrete Jedi Shoto

Hello, I am new to the forum and saber building. I own 2 prefab sabers from company x (bought before I found TCSS, ooops ). My 3rd is going to be a DIY saber.

I call it the Saboteur Shoto. It is meant to be small, somewhat unassuming, and often overlooked - easily mistaken for a comm-link or food capsule. It can be easily used in a concealed carry manner on my character much like a hold-out blaster. The overall length is just under 8" with a 16" blade. The saber will be costumed with a nylon sheath, so no Covertech or D-ring is needed. I have watched all of the youtube videos on assembly, etc so I am mostly confident that I haven't forgotten anything, but any input would be appreciated.

Due to it's size, I decided to go very basic.

Here is the proposed saber (Trim rings will go on both ends of the 5" fluted piece).

Additional: I have a 16" blade ready to go. Also acquired all of the basic soldering equipment, electrical tape, neoprene washers, foam, tools, etc.

I double checked my resistor selection.

So is everything okay to go?

You're missing a pommel insert and an MPS clip to hold it in place. Everything else looks fine to me.

Except he is using "Pommel style 1"(to stick his Guarded Switch in the end), not "MPS Pommel style 1". So everything should actually be fine I believe

Ahh, then that would be fine.

That's a relief. Thanks to Silver Serpent and Cire Yeldarb. MTFBWY
