MR Yoda not cooperating...Help!!!

Im disassembling my daughters Yoda and the front pin is drilled, the black knob is out , the switch cover is off and screws are removed however the big one had to be drilled out , that sucker would not budge and I ended up stripping it...Here the problem, the switch sleeve will not slide fwd enough to get to the second pin! I can rotate it left and right a little but it seems like the 2nd pin is sticking up come and preventing the sleeve from moving fwd. Help ! , any ideas ?

You might have to remove the grips. That's the only other way I can think of.
