    Default Collimator Lens'

    Which lens is best for the new Cree's? The 8.5 degree, or the 5 degree lens? There is no indication in the description as to which one would work better with them, or even if they are both fine. Does anyone have both installed in sabers to show the difference in the blades with a picture? Thanks everyone for your help! And, Happy New Year everyone!

    I prefer 8.7 myself. I haven't been impressed by the five, but different strokes for different folks.

    The 8.7 is what is typically used for single die LEDs regardless of who makes them.
