Thread: Anti Vandal Switch LED Colors

Default Anti Vandal Switch LED Colors

Does anyone know why the anti vandal momentary switches seem to include all LED colors in both dot and ring style but latching switches don't? There aren't latching Yellow Ring or Orange Ring switches in the store. I'm prepared to settle for a Yellow dot switch if I have to but I would really, really love to get a 16mm Anti Vandal Latching Yellow Ring Switch if there is any possible way to get it.

If anyone could let me know why the store doesn't have them and/or tell me where I could get one, I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks.

The latching switches are being phased out. They're generally larger than the momentary switches due to the physical latching mechanism inside, and space is always at a premium inside a saber.

You can get any momentary switch and one of the momentary-to-latching converters, and it'll work just fine. Just get the right one for your voltage: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Other-C73.aspx

Thanks, I hadn't seen those converters.

I don't know how to wire them, but it's okay. I'll try to find some info on but I'm just going to stick with a latching for now. I'll probably upgrade eventually cause I'm not a big fan of the dots. First build though, gotta keep it somewhat simple.

Start simple, upgrade later. It's a good way to look at things in this hobby.

    Good luck with your build.
