Default 2 AA battery holder that uses 9v snap connectors.

    Hello,
I have a 2 AA battery holder that crapped out on me. I saw these online at Radio Shack. Has anyone used them. I'd hate to place an order with Tim just for one AA battery Holder and was looking to see if i could find something close by my home that I could run out and pick up. this was all i could find.

Thte 9V clip makes it easier to replace the holder if it gets damaged. In my experience, the RS battery holders have weak springs. I have had to replace one in my nephew's saber twice now. But after replacing it with a 4AA holder from here (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/4A...der--P134.aspx), it has not had a problem for years. I think, I'd rather have it last longer than be easy to replace.

For your purposes, have you looked at: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/2A...lder-P348.aspx ?

    Darth Fender,
Thanks for your input. I was just wondering about those Holders I had mentioned. I didn't want to place an order at Tcss just for one part. I was looking around here where I live to see if I could pick up a replacement 2 AA battery holder and That one from Radio shack was all I could find. Not too many Hobby shops around here anymore, But we have a buttload of cell phone and liquor stores. Go Figure.

    Sure is an awesome amp.

My point about the RS battery holders is that they have springs that are a little weak for our purposes. They get compressed and don't spring back, making a bad connection. This is mostly due to the forces that are exerted on it during combat. I have replaced every RS battery holder I have ever installed due to failure of some sort or other. But your mileage may vary.

Thanks Darth Fender. I'm not going to pick one of those up then.
