If I am seeing this correctly, you are using the .75" extension connected to the pommel. If so, won't you will be drilling through the threads of the extension in order to fit the covertec knob?

    Not necessarily.

It looks to be enough "clear" space between the threads. If Tim tells me it can't be done, then we'll forgo the covertec wheel.

The reason on for the extension, it to house the speaker mount before the ribbed extension. (Looking to avoid too many parts modifications!)

There is 1/4" that you can use to put a covert on, but you need to carefully measure and drill/tap.

Which is why I'm paying Tim to do it!

    .75" - .63" threads = .12" = not enough for full threads on a 8-32.

Does this mean you will be in touch with me about this order?
