This was also going to be my recommendation. The 14670's (or even 145650's) will allow for more discharge and help you with the FoC as well. BUT, always trust FenderBender over me; just saying

great design. I would try and weather the wood with some darker shades though, it kinda stands out as a big blank piece, it needs to look more interesting than just a piece of wood grip. MPO
the rest of the saber is awesome and I think that's why the wood stands out badly.

I'm a big fan of plain wood myself. I always shudder when my wife wants to paint some beautiful piece of stained oak furniture. I like the look of the plain grip. It'll get some nice wear marks as time goes on.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

I think I like everything about this saber from the MHS component choices to the shroud work. It's very easy on the eyes (well, unless you aim that tri-rebel it at your face. )

IMO, green was the right choice to compliment the bare wood handle. What well executed design. Bravo!

Oh don't get me wrong i like the wood but as you say it does need some use to give it some character. I would of machined 2 or 3 grooves in the wood to break up how bare it looks but, thats my preference. Its still a awsome saber however it's kept.

Hi all. It's been some time since my last update, so thought I would show my latest saber modifications. I said in an older post that I was happy with the design, but you guys know how it is....

I'm still contemplating putting a graflex glass eye thumbscrew on the underside

Very nice. I like it =] What was the 2nd font in the 2nd video? I say go without the Graflex glass eye especially if you duel with this some for I think the eye would get in the way sometimes. Ohh the 2nd font was Bespin 2, duh. heard the, "You'll find out I'm full of surprises" line :P Is that a Corbin thin wall blade with double blade film wrap? Love that blade

    Elegant!

    Two questions:
    1. How did you decide to seal the wood? Varnish, tongue oil, linseed, etc?
    2. How did you decide to go with a green saber and a red activation switch?
