Thumbs up Dark Apprentice Gladius themed NBv2 MHSv2

    Hey all,

So, recently I got one of the old padawan Yoda sink tube sabers I had made returned to me for repairs... This is one of my high school, college, and fraternity classmates, and when I recently met up with them in Disneyland for dinner, I got to hang out with his 6 year old son.

Apparently, his son is a big star wars fan (like who isn't around these parts?!? )... so I couldn't very well just send him back his repaired Yoda by itself... I mean you can't really duel with just one saber, right?

Well, I happened to have a spare NBv2 on hand that I've been meaning to use.... and this seemed like the perfect time!
Also, Tim had recently come out with the MHSv2 parts, so I put a bunch of stuff together and came up with this:

    SPECS:
    NBv2
    18650 Li-Ion
    RRW Tri-Rebel
    20mm speaker
    12mm AV switch
    "weathered" black chrome PC
Textured flat black PC for the grip area

Now something that Erv' had mentioned in his NB manual made me go... "A HA!!!"
"the NB can fit inside a 1" blade" or something to that effect...
So why not make a chassis out of a spare 1" blade?

Well, when he received it, both my friend and his son were ecstatic... and they sent me this pic

Just FYI, I really loved the combination of the weathered black chrome PC (put on the lathe and lightly "sanded" with 0000 steel wool to give an almost burnt look) and the textured flat black PC. Awesome stuff - look for that again in some future builds!

    Cheers!
