Default Can someone confirm if this is going to be right:

Hey guys it's been a long time since I've done this but my nephew wants a saber for his birthday haha. I see now the shop has the lens assembly with lens led heatsink eat all ready to be wired. Can you guys tell me if I'm calculating this right if I bought the following things:

    4 AA battery pack @ 6 volts
Red rebel star led lens heatsink module
    (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Re...dule-P653.aspx)
    5.6 ohm 10 watt resistor

Using this calculator (http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz) I put in the 6 volts from the battery then put 2.4 volts for red diode voltage and then put to run it at 700mah it came to a 5.6 ohm resistance can anyone confirm or Deny? Thanks!

    Looks right to me.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz for the lazy man's resistor calculator!
http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com...e-to-Ohm-s-Law for getting resistor values the right way!

You can use a lower wattage, you don't need to use 10, should be fine though!
Light, Dark, two sides of the same coin. So why not use both?
