    Default powering/ over powering LEDs.....

i am working on my first LED saber and i have built a cluster of LEDs. i have my LEDs wired up to a hasbro sound board from a new "spring action" saber. the package on the LEDs said that the max power you can put through them is 3.5v. i'm wondering is if anybody knows if the hasbro sound board has some sort of voltage regulator in it. i'd like to be able to use more than 2 AAA batteries in my saber....otherwise i'm just going to end up having to change out batteries every time i duel...

See if you can find out ho many milliams (mA) the LED's draw. That will help determine how long bateries will last you.
I figure you're safe with 2 AA batteries (longer life than AAA's), and your saber should last quite awhile.

If your just doing little leds two batteries will last forever. Heck, a 1w Lux is probally going to draw more then what you are doing.
