    Default NiMH batter charge

    greetings all,

i built a saber with a 4 Nimh battery pack in it. Because of a few weird issues, i didnt get a charger for it until recently, and the batteries had run all the way down.

it seems that when i plug it in and let it charge until the light turns green, then unplug it, and plug it back in it still goes into charging mode, like its not actually reaching 100%

is this normal for NiMHs? is there a way to condition them, or should i just put new ones in?

it seems that the light and sound is working fine, i havent let it run long enough to totally power down again yet to see how long of a life the charge has

That's fairly standard behavior. The charger can take a bit of time to recognize that the batteries are already full.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
