Thread: Blade holder dimensions

    Default Blade holder dimensions

So I think instead of using sink tubes I'm going to CAD then CNC my saber since it's cheaper and I have the ability, with exception of the CNC but I might be able to get Tim to help me with that. But I was wondering what the inner dimensions of the blade holder are cause I'm pretty sure if that gets screwed up I won't have a real saber anymore...
"Peace is a lie. Perhaps the greatest of them all. Peace, or a lack of change equals Death. If the waters of a pool cease to move, and become stagnant, the waters poison themselves, and kill all who drink from it. Chaos, on the other hand, brings great change. Should the pool be over taken by a river, life springs anew.

Well, the section for holding the blade is simple enough to figure out. It's about 1.5" - 2" deep, and 1" in diameter. Maybe a hair or two bigger in diameter, to allow the blades to slide in and out.

The section for holding heat sinks, now that I couldn't tell you for sure. You'd have to do those measurements yourself, or build a custom heatsink.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
