    Default wax diffuser

i was looking at one of those huge candles the other day and noticed that th ewax diffused the candel light very well. then i thought, why couldn't this work on a lux saber? if you could spread liquid wax on the inside of the blade then it would spread out the light. i know this blade wouldn't be duel worthy but it would still be pretty cool. any thoughts?

Get a candle, grab your balde and let us know how it works.

I'll bet it won't be worth the time and effort for this application, but you may have found a cool new art form.

Well... I hope you plan on living in an arctic climate. PolyC outside would be like a heater inside the blade. I know wax paper melts... so ergo wax is no good.

lol you would probably melt the blade before the wax gets fully through.

Think, Mr. Bright-idea. What is wax meant to do under heat?

wouldn't the heatsink take all of the heat out of the led? i thought that is what it is designed to do.

    I know wax paper melts
would there really be enough heat inside the blade to melt it?

    I know I didn't stutter... I didn't put a maybe...

YES! Wax paper as a diffuser melts. Wax itself would probably be even worse.

Ever sat in a car that's off on a hot day? Why are greenhouses made of glass? Because they work really well for getting it hot.

wow pyle now that xwing mentioned it you sound pretty much dumerer, cant you see that wax melts with a candle which is significantly less powerful and hot than a lux3w.
