Thread: Fully charged, NBv2 boots, ignites, dies.

Default Fully charged, NBv2 boots, ignites, dies.

I have an MWS NBV2 setup with a recharge port, mom switch, 18650 battery pack. Saber boots after the kill is removed, mom switch ignites the saber for 1-2 seconds then dies. It worked fine BEFORE I tried to recharge it.

Are you sure the battery actually charged?

both chargers register a full charge.

Does the NB emit some kind of beep after shutting down? Can you switch it on again (even if only for 1-2 secs again)? Tried reformatting the SD Card?
Could the wiring have been jumbled when you inserted the recharge plug? Did you chech the wiring afterwards? I am sure with more info we figure out or come closer to identify the problem at hand.

What kind of charger seems to have done something? Also was the charger plugged in before it was plugged into the saber?

I have a TCSS smart charger and a tenergy charger both purchased at TCSS, and the chargers were both plugged in before contact with the saber. If I replace the kill and pull it I get the same result. There is no beep or warning that the saber will shut down. I'm gonna tear it down and try my connections outside of the hilt. As I said, the saber was fine before the recharge, and the battery was not depleted.

As the LED's draw the most power out of the battery pack, I would try to disconnect the LED's first an turn on the saber, if the NB is still working fine it should play the FX's at least.

Yep it's the LED. Thanks Ob1. Should I try a P4 instead of the rebel star?

Buck puck in the mix would solve this problem?

Do you have the right resistor on the led/s. It sounds like it is drawing too much current. Which led and resistor depends on color and vf.
