Thread: Jay-gon Jinn's Brass Series Saber #28 (BS-28)

    Default Jay-gon Jinn's Brass Series Saber #28 (BS-28)

I know it's been a long time (over a year now) since I have posted a completed build, but this one had a long history of being put on hold either by the owner or myself for various personal reasons. Based on my own CS-X saber, this one will be a trooping saber, so there's nothing too fancy about it. The owner costumes as Scorch the Delta Squad Republic Commando, so the color scheme was borrowed from his armor motif, black, silver, and yellow. sorry, there is no crystal chamber reveal, or even much of a chassis in this one (I used my standard half-chassis to secure the sound board) and no color-changing blade. So here it is,

    BS-28:

AUX button mounted using my old-fashioned pvc c-clip method (no 3d printed parts were used in this build ;D):

The rear grip cut out was inspired by the T-visor on the RC helmet:

Your sabers are always some of my favorites. This one is no exception. Love the color scheme. I'm sure the owner will be thrilled with it.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

This makes me want to design more sabers... And I'm still working on my first! Awesome design, love the gold shroud on the black.

"Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before... you want blindingly bright, super loud, running 1138 blinkies off of the cheapest sound card you can find AND you want all of it to run on a battery the size of a dime, and run for a very, VERY long time. That one cracks me up every time..."

    Great saber, as always, Jay!

I have to ask, what is that piece you are using as a kill key? It's so familiar to me but I haven't been able to place it... been driving me crazy all day.
