    Ok, thanks. It's been a while since I've seen someone heat treat metal. For consistency, I'm going to stick with the acid etch/weathering as I like the texture it produces. I have a saber to build for a friend that will need to be weathered, I might experiment with the Aluminum Black for that build.

    I finished my saber this past week in time for Star Wars Night at the ballpark (Buffalo Bison’s Star Wars Night). I gutted the saber and started over with the electronics as I wasn’t happy with my work or the way the Petit Crouton fit. I installed a Nano Biscotti V2 in its place with a proper chassis built in.

    So in short, here goes:
    MHS parts with custom cut shroud
    Acid etched design and weathering
    Acrylic paint weathering
    Nano Biscotti V2 driven by a single 18650 battery
    Lux Rebel III Amber at 700mA – as close to yellow as I can get without color blending.
    Premium 1W speaker is plenty loud.
