Thread: Color Switching with NB Wiring schematic?

Default Color Switching with NB Wiring schematic?

    Hello all,

I've got another Saber idea that I wont be building anytime soon, but I wanted to check the do-ability of wiring this up.

A friend of mine wants a saber that he can switch between Green and Red. And since color switching with a PC would be much more pricey, I put together this little schematic for the NBv3.

The idea is to use a SPDT switch so that power flows to only on LED, red or green.
I would have to design the hilt so the switch is inside, just to make sure the kill key is in and the power is off before the LED-switching-switch is switched.

    So, could this work?

Could it work? Yes. You just have to make sure you really secure that switch.

Check the max current load for the switch too. Most are only 0.5A or so. There are 2A varieties out there though.
