Thread: Retention Screw Misalignment

    Default Retention Screw Misalignment

I recently had my Obi-wan lightsaber completely converted to a single LED dueling saber, and am quite pleased with it. However, my roommate unscrewed the emitter where the retention screw holds my blade in place and is misaligned. I have tried several times to re-align it without much success. Any suggestions as to how I can make this work without having another hole to be drilled and tapped?

If it's like other sabers then I suspect the lens in the blade holder has shifted getting in the way of the BH threads. You may risk damaging the wires on your LED or the LED itself but with your finger you can wiggle the lens till it centers allowing the blade holder to be fully tightened. You'll want to be very gentle since you can crush your LED under the lens. Another possibility is one of your wires got in the way of your threads.
