Help with Violet!

Hello Saberland

I need some help figuring out which resistor I should use to achieve a violet blade. I will be using a Nano Biscotte v2.0, Li-Ion 18650 3.7v 2600mAh PCB protected battery, one accent LED in the switch (resisted by the DynaOhm), the 2watt bass speaker, and a Tri-rebel Rb/G/R all with a recharge port and no FoC. Please help.

Well, mixing colors with a NB isn't ideal, so whatever shade of purple color you get is what you are going to get out of it.

For the blue, you would need something along the lines of .5 Ohms, 1/2W and for the Red you would need something along the lines of 2 Ohms, 2 W

This is with the same battery and led, Rb and red, NB V1. I used a 1ohm 2watt resistor on the red, none on the blue. The NB drive setting was at 3.5 V.

That combo would most likely give you magenta, and not violet/purple. It's been a while since I used the Tri-Rebel (I usually use Crees), but they're close. Also, to keep the balance of colors over time, you'll probably end up having to put a resistor on the blue as well, a 2W 1ohm will work, and for a deeper purple, you may want something between 4-6ohm on the red. However, it is always advisable to try the LED combo out on a power supply unit (PSU) where you can set the current and voltage to mimic your setup and then use a potentiometer on the red to get the exact resistor value.

Either will work fine, but obviously the 3400mah one will give longer run time.
