Default 51TH "Emerald" with Nano Biscotti v2 by LDM (see the NBv2 in action!!!!)

51TH Commando PV Emerald with NBv2

Of course everyone now knows that the Nano Biscotti v2 has been released. This is the saber in which I did my beta testing of that board. It is a lightside version of my 51TH Commando PV saber withemerald green accented choke points and copper faux leather-wrap grip. The NBv2 is a great board. Excellent functionality and FoC on an entry-level board is pure gold. Also, the sound quality and volume are epic. Take a listen to the video

    Particulars:
    51TH Commando PV Hilt
    Nano Biscotti v2 (Stock Package)
    PEx v2
    Copper AV switch (main power)
    9W RGB (Aqua w/White FoC)
    Emerald decal accents
    3.7V Li-ion w/2.1mm port in easy-spin pommel
LDM 28mm HO speaker in Machined Resonance
    Copper Faux Leather-wrap grip

I like it. The copper switch is especially cool. Not sure how I feel about the FoC, but this still makes me very excited for the NBv2

You don't like FoC? Or you don't like white FoC? Either way, folks can create whatever FoC color that they so desire...or have none at all

That is beautiful. Very elegant. And thanks for showing the kill key in the pommel. That confirms my plans for my first MHS saber will work.

In general, I don't like FoC. I'm probably gonna do it in at least one saber just to be able to say I've done it, but that's the only reason why.

Ahhh, well the good thing is that you don't have to do it. I prefer to do non-FoC sabers occasionally myself.

Of course, of course. I want to do it just to mark it off the sabersmith bucket list. FoC is cool and nice, it's just not for me.

I don't disagree at all. The flash on stock plecterlabs boards always seemed more "realistic" to me. It took me a long time before I added a FoC saber to my own collection.

Man i really like that emerald PC ... i'd love to see it used more (hint hint ). Great to see the NBv2 in action also; i can't wait to try it out!

On the subject of FoC, i'll say that i'm not a huge fan ... I think it's a nice feature on some of the sabers i own (not built by me) when used conservatively, that is, when the colors are a similar shade (e.g. blue/green). For me, it's about what looks "realistic" ... and it's not like in the movies you ever see Luke's saber flash orange or purple whenever he hits something or someone. I know it's a matter of personal preference and others feel the opposite and absolutely must have crazy color combos, because it really does look cool. Anyway, i think it's great that the NB2 supports FoC so there is the option to have it now for those who do want it.
