LED Brightness Chart

Tim, I think it would be a great idea for you to post this chart (if it is accurate), in the LED section of your store, for buyers to easily and quickly reference.

I think the chart is misleading for our purposes. My 1 watt star(not star-o!) royal blue is only minutely dimmer than my 3 watt cyan and both are brighter than my Anakin FX, matching the FX only at it's dimmest spot. According to their charts the royal blue should be hundreds of times dimmer than the cyan. That's if I get the numbers right. What's the 220mW listed in the lumens column anyway?

Yeah, their lumen ratings are very misleading.

As far as lumens per LED color go the best chart I have is my eyeballs. They all look damn bright to me.

Well, how about that chart Corbin posted based on color how bright they will seem compared to each other? Put a big fat disclaimer that says: this is only a comparison between LEDs of the same voltage!

Well, I don't believe it got posted here. It was on ASAP. It's basically a chart of the frequency sensitivity of our eyes. So it shows the theoretical apparent brightness if you had all the LEDs at the same lumen count.

Mystereon, what is the point of that clip? It's just some guy fooling around with a LED. What does that have to with someone asking for comparisons of different LED's brightness?
