How do I Use MR Mace Windu Parts for Custom Saber?

I recently purchased all the items necessary to build my first custom saber. As it's my first I'm keeping it simple, so the design is just the hilt with a basic blade. No sound, no lash on clash, ect. I do however have a Master Replicas Mace Windu lightsaber and am curious how difficult it would be to use parts (in essence the sound board and flash on clash system) for the saber I'll be building.

In my searching I see that many people convert or upgrade the existing parts in their MR sabers, but I haven't found any instruction or examples of people (or Jedi) who have used the existing parts in another saber.

I'm not sure about trying that out but I can point out that your covertech knob is located over a threaded section. You can move it to the fluted area.
