1 1/4 hilt

Can you use a 1 1/4 tube for the led sabers. I am thinking about making one for my daughter but she is only 2 and a half so she has little hands.

i dont think tim has any plans on making them yet. he'd have to figure out a way to make it small enough to fit.

StrangeWings, be careful! My son is 5 and he still couldn't resist looking straight into the beam. You don't want to blind her, make the blade permanently attached. The power of these things is akin to class II lasers.

All of my kids blades can only be removed by me due to the same reason. Both of my 5 year old sons tried to look too and so did i(had one on with no sound and flipped it around and Bam got blasted in one eye). I used regular scews instead of thumb wheels. if they are remved i don't let them have batteries so they hardly ever want to take them off.

ok, now i am asking the same question: will the LED parts, including the blade holder, work with the 1 1/4" sink tube?

I am pretty sure I heard Tim say somewhere that the LED blade holders are not made for the 1 1/4" tube because there is not enough material to screw on the heatsink.

he just told me on IM that the holder will not fit a tube that size. i saw it listed with the LED hilt parts and wondered.
