Thread: Chassis Question

    Default Chassis Question

After a lot of use of the search feature and Google, I simply cannot find the answer I seek. It's pretty simple, basically I just need to know what do I need to make a good chassis. I'm going to use the v4 speaker mount as the part near the pommel, but I don't know what to use on the top near the blade holder to keep everything snug. I thought Chassis Disc 4 would work, but I'm afraid of the LED heatsink not being able to sit through the middle hole. Any pointers would be wonderful.

Chassis discs 4 or 5 will anchor your entire chassis no matter where in the saber it is installed. You just need to be sure it is inbetween two MHS sections, and that your chassis is all connected. It doesn't need to be up by the blade holder.

Another option is to use one of the metal chassis discs like disc 2 which fit inside MHS sections, and then hold them in place with a set screw.

So I don't have to have a disc on both sides to keep everything from wiggling around? I can just use Disc number four, thread it in through the pommel and should be good to go from there, correct? Just want to be sure before I spend my money on the wrong stuff.

If disc 4 is locked in place, and everything else is attached firmly to disc 4, then nothing should move around. I'm not sure disc 4 will fit in the pommel if you also have your speaker mount in there. You should be able to mount disc 4 in another place without any trouble.

No sound just yet, so I'll just be using disc 4 for now. Thank you for the info.
