Looks like a fine design. What are you planning on putting in it?
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

I am probably going to put just a blade and amber Led. I am a little crazy, but i dont care to put a sound board lol.

Nothing crazy about building a nice stunt saber...they are actually quite useful for practicing saber spins at night without waking anyone. And that design has enough room you could always upgrade it to sound later. Good Luck with your build, Welcome and MTFBWY.

I have also tinkered with this. but i would have to do some fooling around to do the blade holder.

I really like the revised design. It reminds me of Mara Jade's saber, but with plenty of character all its own.

Agreed. Personally, I have large hands and that MJ grip section is amazing to hold. Also, as much as I love the "grenade" ribbed parts, it's nice to see the less commonly used middle section in the revision.

I agree, I was worried the MJ grip section might be too "fat", but its extremely comfortable, and with the brass button heads threaded into it, gives a perfect stable feel in the hand.

What type of switch do you plan on using and where are you going to locate it? One of those things to think out ahead of time in the case that you ever do modify for sound in the future.
