Question First 2 sabers, parts list

Hi! This is the parts list to my first 2 sabers that I'll hope to be making soon.

    Saber 1:
    MPS Pommel Style 4 (1)
    MPS Insert Style 4 (1)
    MPS Clip (1)
Hilt Style 1 with Standard switch hole (1)
LED blade holder style 9 (1)
Drill and Tap hole, 8-32, for the blade holder (1)
Build Your Own Seoul P4 Electronics Kit (red) (1)
MHS 'new style' Heat sink v2 (1)
    Star Thermal Tape pad (1)
LED ‘Corbin Style’ Battle Blade 1” OD (36”) (1)
8-32 x .3" red thumb screw (for blade retention) (1)

    Saber 2:
    MPS Pommel Style 8 (1)
    MPS Clip (1)
    MPS Insert Style 7 (1)
4 inch Fluted Double Female Connector (1)
Drill and Tap hole, 8-32, for Covertec on connector(1)
    MHS Choke style 3 (1)
Double threaded male threaded connector style 1 (1)
2 inch double female threaded connector (1)
Machine recessed AV switch hole for the connector (1)
LED blade holder style 12 (1)
Drill and Tap hole, 8-32, for blade retention (1)
    Covertec clip (1)
16mm Anti Vandal Momentary Gold Plated Switch (1)
Rebel Star LED & MHS Heatsink Module (Royal Blue) (1)
    2.2 ohm 5w resistor (1)
    4AA battery Holder (1)
    8-32 x 3/8" socket head (for Covertec) (1)
    8-32 x .3" Gold Thumb screw (1)
LED 'Corbin Style Battle Blade 1" OD (36") (1)

    Stuff for both sabers:
1/8” Adhesive lined heatshrink tubing (2)
Dual 24 gauge wire (sold by the foot) (5)
    Super Lube Synthetic Grease (3)

Did I forget anything? Also, what is the difference between a Latching and Momentary switch, and between the Corbin and TCSS style blades? Thanks a lot, and any suggestions are welcome

EDIT: Just found a thread about the different types of switches, changing my design now. Do either size of AV switches fit nicely into either style of the basic hilt design holes?

If you don't have a sound board, you want a latching switch. Latching switches stay on when pressed, and remain on until pressed again. Momentary switches will only stay on while you hold the button down.

If you have a sound board, then some of them require the use of a momentary switch, and the electronics in the board will keep everything running after a single press.

Since I don't see a sound board, I'm going to recommend you get a latching switch. I'll look over the rest of your shopping list after I've had my coffee.

    Edit time:

I've had a chance to look over your parts list. I don't see anything wrong other than the momentary AV switch on saber 2. If you use that switch, you will have to hold it down all the time to keep the saber on. Swap that switch for a latching switch and you should be good to go with parts.

The AV switches are too large to fit into the basic holes. You will need to get the AV switch hole service done on that part. You can have that done in the same spot as the original hole.

We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
