The good thing about wiring is that, unlike wood, you actually CAN extend it if you cut it too short. Just be sure to use heatshrink on any joints.

I agree as well. Too much wire makes for a mess inside a saber.

Sounds like good advice. I will be building a chassis with this saber and that will help keep some of the wires in check

Just wondering if this would be suitable for Li ion batteries? I ask as I already have one for the Li-Po batteries I use for airsoft.

Actually, it states that it is:

    Li-ion, LiPo and LiFe capable
    Ni-Cd and NiMH capable
I'm guessing that it should work.

I would like to see how this project turned out Hasselhoof. I'm in the middle of my first build, using similar components. CF 6.5 with color extender, tri star led. I was going to use the 1st led from the accent pad to light up the crystal chamber, and the remaining 6 to do a PLI. Now I'm thinking about making the crystal chamber color matching and pulling off the FOC1 and FOC2 to do so and using all of the pads for the PLI. Any advice or advantages to doing it one way or the other? Also I'm assuming that I would want to power the crystal chamber with a less powerful tri led? Any sources for this accent tri led? Any help is appreciated.
