    Default Heiland Vader Parts

Hi everyone, I am hoping to find some help here. I just joined and I am working on my first saber. I was able to grab a Heiland 3 cell off of e-bay for $30 bucks last week and I would really like a Vader ESB saber. I am having trouble finding the emitter shroud. Blast-tec discontinued the one they sold, and I couldn't find one in the TCSS store. Any ideas on where i could get one, or how i could make one?
    Thanks

I'm pretty sure I've seen them available at some of the 3d printing services like Shapeways. If they don't have the designs, you should be able to create your own with some time and effort.

I checked out Shapeways, but they only have the ROTJ shroud. I found some pretty good pics of the ESB one with measurements, so I should be able to make one.
    Thanks though.

What is the best way to shim a blade holder into a Heiland flash? i just received the 1.25" sink-tube blade holder from the store and it is just a little too small. I was thinking of just sanding down some PVC pipe to bridge the gap (probably a 1/16th of an inch around the blade holder). Would this be the best way to accomplish this?

I'd probably use aluminum tape to build up the sinktube adapter. PVC would do the job as well, but it would be a lot of sanding.

Cool thanks. I am just worried about making it solid enough for the blade retension screw as I dont want it to move within the hilt. Not looking to battle with it, going to be a display piece but want it sturdy.

There are a number of ways to hold the piece securely. Set screws are a nice, unobtrusive method. You can even install them from the inside if you have small enough hands and tools.

If you build up the part with enough tape, it should be snug on its own. Or you could use a bit of epoxy to glue it in place. Epoxy is rather permanent, and makes it rather difficult to take the saber apart for repairs.

Personally, I'd probably start with set screws.

awesome, thanks for the advice. I've been tinkering a little here and there with it to due time available. I'll be sure to post some pics too when I get a little farther along.
