this is the top of a bedside table i am making for my Wife, made with cherry and the inlay and frame is fir stained with a walnut stain. Before i put on the tongue oil the contrast was sharper, but i may still darken them up a bit more.
Did you take that out with a bit or did you have like the help of a router attachment? Dremel has two router attachments; a standard jig and a shaping table.

WOW! It amazes me with what y'al can do with that little bugger. The darn thing normally gives me fits.
Awesome job.
And I am glad everything is up again, when I tried to post this earlier it crashed.
Red 5 "Move Dangit! I gots Snitz to blow up!"
i used a cutting disk for the primary shaping on the inlay, and i used a cutting drill bit to carve out the hole in the cherry, then i glued the inlay to the cherry did a little finish touch up staining and oiled
ill post again when i make some significant progress, as for now it will be a few days before i can get back to it
i use routers for woodworking, and eventually a scroll saw to make really neat stuff.
