    Question Question regarding the Vader conversion tutorial

    Hi.

    I noted that on the tutorial, nothing was said about the use of a resistor. Is one not needed? In this pic showing the wiring from the tutorial, and correct me if I am mistaken, but there is no resistor shown:

    Or, is the thing the gray wire is attached to the resistor? Please forgive my ignorance, as I am still learning. All this is very new to me.

    Depends on your LED. I've used Seoul P4's with with no resistors for my reds when converting and never had any issues.

    With reds I'd be careful. I'd measure the output first and see if one's needed or not.

    I did mine with no resistor. Used Lux 3w deep red. It works great. That thing in the picture connected to the gray wire is the clash sensor. It comes out of the blade. Tricky little suckers.
