    Exclamation Sith Staff/Pike. Please help!

Okay, so i have decided to build a stunt saber staff. Nothing too intense.
    Parts:
    16mm AV orange ring switches
    Activation box 3
    6"Double Female extention
    Pommel style 5
    Double male connector style 1
    BH style 16
    6-32 socket head screws
    2ft of extra wire
    3.3ohm 5w resistor
    4AA Battery pack
    Lux star lens holder
Collimator Lens 8.7 deg viewing angle
    Chassis disk (Is it needeed?)
    1/8" Heatshrink (2ft)
    Services: (By tim)
    Full powder coating
    Box 3 mounting holes

I am going for a Sith saber, probably going to buy a few Yari(Pike) extensions from Ultrasabers.
Ultimately im going for a staff that i can take as a pike and offhand saber.
    Thanks for the help, guys.

    Also:
I do have experience soldering, i have wired a computer board for something on my laptop.

With the activation box you have selected, I assume you're getting a pair of AV switches? There's not really a need for more than one in your saber, but you can certainly have an extra for decorative purposes. Personally, I'd get one latching and one momentary. That way you could easily add a Petit Crouton or a Nano Biscotte sound board later on, without modifying the exterior of your saber. Since you're building a stunt saber right now, you'll need at least one of those switches to be latching (or else you'll have to hold it down to keep the saber on).

Chassis disks aren't needed with your internals. You can build a chassis if you like, and it could help prevent your battery pack from banging around, but that's about it.

You're going to want resistors for your AV switches. http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz will help you find an appropriate value resistor.

I don't see a main led? What are you going to use for your blade?

Hahaha wow my bad. I am using a Lux rebel star in deep red. I already have a few blades from TCSS that i am using on my stunts from Ultra. And i am planning on using sound some day. Not exactly soon but i will.
    Thanks for the help.

You'll want to doublecheck the resistor for your main LED. The Rebel Deep Red runs at 2.4v and 700mA. You listed a 3.3ohm resistor, and you'll risk blowing that LED if your battery pack exceeds 4.5v (3 alkalines)

Check the LED resistor calculator in my previous post to find an appropriate resistor value for your battery pack and main LED.
