Choke ID @ .75" to <1"?
I'm wondering if its possible to bore out the choke style 2 to fit a 1" ultraedge blade. I want to add the choke to a hilt that has the blade retention screw built into it. The emitter/blade holder does not have a blade stop, ie not an mhs blade holder. Adding the choke style 2 with a double ended male threaded connector would fit my purpose perfectly. Is this something that can be done here or would I have to do so myself? Would it weaken the choke too much?
You'd have to shoot Tim an email about that. In just looking at that part in the builder, the narrowest section is less than 1" in diameter though, so I guess one of your questions/issues would be how far into the piece you want it to go.
What about using the old style heatsink in between the choke style 2 and double ended male threaded connector?
