Thread: Momentary Switch Wiring

    Default Momentary Switch Wiring

I'll be using this switch in my current saber build with a NB board, and I was wondering if the wires would need to be soldered, or if the little screws would provide enough tension to make soldering unnecessary. Might sound like a silly question, but I want to be sure so I don't mess things up.

You can get by with just screwing it. Tin the end of the wire with solder really well so it makes a sort of tab to insert in the hole first. Instead of inserting bare wiring which could get frayed by screwing/unscrewing several times.
The lightsaber hilt is capable of producing a blade of pure energy. The lightsaber hilt has proven to be completely safe. The saber blade however has not. Do not touch the operational end of the saber blade. Do not look directly at the operational end of the saber blade. Do not immerse the saber blade into your flesh, not even partially.

For testing purposes, the screws are acceptable. Once you have everything set up and working the way you want it, I recommend soldering for a more permanent connection.

The screws will work, but they could tend to work loose after a few hours of banging on other sabers.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
