    Default 10w LED help!

Name is Ricky. I have been tinkering with sabers for about 3 years now. I'm still a beginner. Recently it was brought to my attention about in hilt LEDs brighter than the rest. I was told about the new 10w's. so here is my problem. I have an old saber that is truly my baby. It's nothing more than a light, switch and battery pack. All I am looking for is a way to wire up a 10w and make it bright. Problem is I still don't know all the wiring lingo. I'm a visual person. Is there anyone who can answer this?:

What LED do I need? (In red)
I also need the power amplifier?
What type of battery pack? Can I use a 4aaa pack?
    Type of resistor needed?
And a small diagram of how to wire together. (Again, I am a visual person)

If I do this once, I'll never forget how to. You can email me at hotwheelsdrift@yahoo.com
    Thanks for all your help.

Read through the following section of the forums: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com...ene-Start-Here

There's a ton of information available, and it'll get you caught up on our technical jargon.

Wiring up a LEDEngin (the typical 10w LED we use here) is detailed in the following thread: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com...uide-for-noobs

At a minimum, you'll need a battery pack (li-ion preferred for 10w), switch, resistor, and the LED itself. It's not really more complicated than what you have already. Get reading, and when you have some more specific questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck!
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
