    Default Parts list quick check

Hello. I am ready to order my first sabre and just wanted to make sure I had all the right parts as well as ask a quick question about switches and lights (no sound on this one).

    First off, the exterior:
    Blade emitter: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Sc...e-10-P292.aspx
Body (made of Choke and Extension):
    Choke: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MH...Long-P525.aspx
    Extension: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/5-...ctor-P404.aspx
    Pommel: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MP...yle-4-P91.aspx
    Pommel insert: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MP...le-4-P232.aspx
    Pommel clip: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MPS-Clip-P72.aspx
    Blade:
    Tube: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/1-...long-P528.aspx
    Tip: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Wh...disc-P630.aspx

I am fairly confident that I have everything I need up there. Now comes the part I am not so sure about.

    LED:
I am not sure whether to order
    1) "Build Your Own Seoul P4 Electronics Kit" (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Bu...-Kit-P469.aspx) or the
    2) "Seoul P4 LED & MHS Heatsink Module" (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Se...dule-P654.aspx).
    I have questions about both.

If I go with #1, would I have to use that switch, or could I use this one: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/SP...itch-P641.aspx
If I go with #2, would I need to buy a battery holder and resistor?

That is my list and my questions. I hope I am not overstepping by asking those questions in this post. If all goes well with this build, I hope to build some as my groomsman gifts for my wedding coming in October. Thank you for your help.

Welcome, and good luck with your build(s)! A few thoughts, in no particular order:

1.) For the blade, I'd recommend http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/LE...-OD--P543.aspx. Add a few wraps of cellophane gift wrap inside, and off you go. Ready for your groomsmen to have a few too many and start bashing each other with them...
2.) Go with the Led Kit, it's got everything and is a good place to start from. You'll need to order one of these, also: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/St...-pad-P483.aspx, to mound the LED to the heat sink. Don't for get a quick disconnect for the wires running to the LED module, makes it much easier to install the heat sink assembly. Oh, and get the 4AAA battery holder to make sure it'll all fit in that 5" extension.
3.) The switch from the kit will work fine, or you can go with any LATCHING switch (Otherwise they'll have to hold the button down the whole time to keep it activated). These are nice too, http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/SP...tton-P255.aspx, just a slightly trickier install because the nut is on the inside. You're going to need a hole drilled for the switch no matter what one you choose, and to tell Tim where you want it, and it's going to have to be fairly close to the threaded area to make sure the battery holder fits. Email him and he'll work with you to figure it out.

I hope that helps. I'm sure others will have comments as well.

You can also use the guarded switch without the nut just drill a 7/16 hole and it will be a snug fit...You will need a latching switch if this are going to be a direct drive saber
    (no sound card)
    Good Luck on your build

Thank you for the information. A few more questions and hopefully all will be ready to go:

    1) Any particular reason to go with this blade http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/LE...-OD--P543.aspx instead of the one I selected (just wondering, I really don't know if there is a reason)
    2) Would this switch work http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/16...itch-P706.aspx

Thank you all for your help and patience.
